Dr. Martin Gallagher is a former Superintendent with Police Scotland. His police background included roles as a detective, Area Commander and the lead for the introduction of mobile technology programme for Scotland, described by the Scottish Government as ‘public sector leading’. He worked on the G8, London Olympics, Commonwealth Games and COP 26. He was awarded three commendations for personal bravery during his police career.

Martin holds a PhD in Criminology and is a regular commentator on policing, terrorism and organised crime for many media outlets including the BBC, Sky News and LBC. He has over 70 publications and his book ‘Terror for Profit’ was published in 2024.

Martin heads his own business, Kilmailing Consulting Ltd., and undertakes research, investigations and journalism assignments. He has also lectured at a number of universities and on behalf of the United Nations and the International Centre for Counter Terrorism – The Hague.
