Visit the UK Pavilion at Critical Communications World

The UK Pavilion at Critical Communications World brings together a selection of organisations helping to shape the future of critical communications, showcasing British innovation, expertise and collaboration on a global stage.

Among those exhibiting is British APCO, the UK's professional association for public safety communications. For more than 30 years, British APCO has supported the emergency services community by bringing together users, industry and government stakeholders to share knowledge, tackle challenges and drive progress across the sector.

As an independent, user-led organisation, British APCO supports professional development, promotes collaboration across the public safety community, publishes industry insight through its journal and communications channels, delivers bursary opportunities, and works with members to influence the future of critical communications in the UK.

British APCO has also played a key role in developing initiatives that have helped shape communications across the emergency services. One notable example is Multi-Agency Incident Transfer (MAIT), an open standard developed by British APCO in partnership with the Cabinet Office, emergency services and industry. MAIT enables incident information to be shared instantly and securely between control rooms, reducing delays, improving situational awareness and supporting faster multi-agency responses. Following recommendations from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, adoption of MAIT has accelerated across England's Fire and Rescue Services, helping to modernise the way critical incident information is exchanged between emergency responders.

Visitors to the pavilion can learn more about British APCO's ongoing work, membership opportunities and programme of events. This includes the British APCO Autumn Event at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, alongside the BAPCO Annual Event, which begins an exciting new chapter in Liverpool on 23-24 March 2027 after many successful years in Coventry. Together, these events provide opportunities for the public safety community to connect, share best practice and explore the technologies shaping the future of emergency communications.

The pavilion also features a number of innovative UK organisations including Metricell, specialists in wireless network performance and connectivity; Critico, providers of critical communications platforms and services; the Department for Business and Trade; Open Cosmos, delivering satellite-enabled data and connectivity solutions; and Sepura, a global leader in mission-critical communications solutions. Visitors looking to speak with the Sepura team can also find them on the main exhibition floor at Stand C1.

Whether you're looking to connect with the UK critical communications community, discover new technologies or explore opportunities for collaboration, the UK Pavilion is a great place to start your journey at Critical Communications World.
