Twelve forces renew ADL contracts
Vislink Technologies has renewed its customer support contracts with 12 UK police forces in relation to the company’s already installed airborne data link (ADL) infrastructure.
This is the second time the contracts have been renewed for three years.
Speaking of the development, the company’s vice president of business development, military and government, Tony Price said: “The extension of this contract underscores the strength of the relationship between Vislink Technologies and UK law enforcement agencies.
“It further demonstrates our commitment to offering the latest technology solutions to support policing operations.
Describing the company’s relationship with the 12 forces, a spokesperson said: “In the UK, Vislink technology was selected as part of the UK Home Office airborne data link migration project. The stated goal of the project was to create a single, common, interoperable national airborne video downlink service.
“The Vislink solution included the delivery of over 200 mobile, portable and fixed equipment items. During joint operations, regional forces and national agencies can access ADL images transmitted from aircraft using portable and handheld equipment. The images can also be viewed at regional command and control centers throughout the UK.”
