BAPCO begins search for new COO


BAPCO is advertising for a new chief operating officer, following the tragic death of CEO Ian Thompson towards the end of last year.

Speaking of the search for a new COO, BAPCO president John Anthony said: “To help take us on the next part of our journey we are looking for a special person to join us, on a part time basis, as chief operating officer. [The] role will be to manage the association on a day-to-day basis and provide support to the president and board of directors.

“You will need to share their vision to remain at the forefront of the drive to improve emergency service and public safety communications and information technology for everyone's benefit, both in the UK and further afield.”

He continued: “The role is not just about managing the association and its respective conferences, exhibitions, and publications. It is about supporting the president and directors in promoting both the association and UK industry at our partner events around the world.”
