BAPCO appoints new chief operating officer
BAPCO has named Duncan Swan as the association’s new chief operating officer. The announcement was made by BAPCO president John Anthony at the opening of this week’s annual conference and exhibition, taking place in Coventry.
Speaking of the appointment, John Anthony said: “Myself and my fellow directors are delighted to appoint Duncan as British APCO's chief operating officer. With his wealth of experience in the sector and long involvement with BAPCO, we consider that the association is very fortunate to have been able to secure his services. This heralds a bright future for us.
“I am sure that all of our members will support Duncan in his new role and will take the opportunity to meet and share their views of the association with him when he takes up the role in March 2022.”
Swan said: “I am convinced that BAPCO has a healthy future ahead, and I want to ensure that we remain relevant to all of our members. The association must continue to innovate, finding new ways to help improve emergency services and public safety communications and information technology for everybody’s benefit. It must continue to be the leading UK-based association for all professionals using or developing public safety technology.”
