BAPCO 2021: driving the sector

The BAPCO 2021 conference call for papers has opened, with the association seeking content submissions from thought leaders working across the public safety communications sector.

The Annual Conference & Exhibition will take place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, from 9-10 March next year.
Speaking of expectations for the 2021 content, conference director Lisa Freeman said: “As in previous years, our forthcoming Coventry event will feature a renowned, highly-respected, speaker roster of industry experts.
“Topics will range from how user organisations intend to deploy ESN, to safeguarding the mental wellbeing of those working in control rooms. We will of course also be devoting time to looking at the impact of COVID-19, and the inventive ways in which communications have been deployed to mitigate the crisis.”
BAPCO CEO Ian Thompson said: “The conference is always a major highlight of our Annual Event, and 2021 will be no different. We’re living through an incredibly important moment, not just for the UK but the whole world. Public health and safety technology and communications are going to play an integral role in moving us forward and keeping us safe.
“In terms of presentations, we’re looking for cutting-edge content focussing on current technologies, initiatives and ways of working, in particular incorporating operational and user examples. The conference will drive the sector, while also empowering those on the frontline to better-protect the public.”
