Jonathan is HM Coastguard's Staff Officer responsible for Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation across the UK, which includes 11 Control Rooms/Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres, 500 rescue teams and 10 Search and Rescue Helicopter bases. Jonathan has served HM Coastguard in a variety of frontline tactical and strategic emergency response roles, spanning 14 years, leading teams, and responding to those in distress on the UK's coastline and offshore, nationally, and internationally. Jonathan has contributed to national and international forums, projects and delivery on Search and Rescue, Emergency Response, Incident Command and Resilience. Jonathan also operates as National Inter-Agency Liaison Officer (NILO). Working with Fire, Police, Ambulance, Military, and other specialist officers to improve co-operation, communication and understanding amongst the emergency services and other agencies on matters of organisational capacity, capabilities, and command. Specifically designated for counter terrorism and other critical/major incidents.
